The team’s event will run over two days on January 8 and 9, with plenty of action happening on and off the course and over $4000 in prizes on offer.
A gala dinner will be held on the Saturday night with entertainment and an auction and raffles.
Event coordinator Kay Blakeley said many locals have been affected in some way by breast cancer.
“It’s going to be a fantastic day supporting a great cause, so we are really encouraging people to book early so that they don’t miss out,” she said.
Ms Blakely has been instrumental in raising many thousands of dollars for the McGrath Foundation in the local community through major annual events.
The McGrath Foundation, created by Jane McGrath, was established to help support women all over the country who have been touched by breast cancer. Over 95,000 families have been supported since 2005, and more nurses are needed to meet the growing rate of breast cancer diagnosis in Australia.
Corowa Golf Club general manager Daniel Peacock said the club was delighted to be asked to host the event.
“We are absolutely stoked and proud to work with Kay. She does phenomenal work for the McGrath Foundation and we are really looking forward to this amazing weekend of golfing for a great cause,” he said.
“We are planning on turning into an annual event and we encourage the local community to really get behind the club and support this worthy cause.”
