A 26-year-old Tocumwal man was witnessed by a home owner in Warrick Street Yarrawonga to be in the front yard, in possession of a knife, acting erratically and allegedly trying to steal a push bike last Thursday, May 15 at about 8.45am.
The male was chased down Warrick Street by residents and held until police arrived a few minutes later.
He was arrested and charged with being in possession of prohibited weapons, cannabis and attempted theft. He has been bailed to appear at Cobram Magistrates Court.
Positive drug tests
On May 10, a 20-year-old Yarrawonga man was intercepted at a preliminary drug testing site on Benalla Road and provided a positive oral fluid test.
He was issued a penalty notice and his driver’s licence will be suspended for 6 months.
A 39-year-old male from Yarrawonga was intercepted in Derry Drive in a routine intercept on May 17. He provided a positive oral fluid test to methamphetamine and will be summonsed to appear in court.
