Unknown offenders have entered the Yarrawonga Showgrounds on Gilmore Street vandalising several buildings with graffiti sometime between July 21 and 28. If anyone has information please contact Yarrawonga Police on 5744 3641.
Stolen items recovered from search
Police intercepted and searched vehicle in Belmore Street on Tuesday, July 30 locating items allegedly stolen from other vehicles earlier that morning in Yarrawonga. A stolen bank card had also earlier been used to make purchases at two local service stations. The driver, a 26-year -old male from Shepparton, was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, obtaining property by deception, disqualified driving and bailed to attend Cobram Magistrates Court at a later date. The man was released pending further enquiries in relation to drug driving.
Theft from motor vehicles
Offenders are targeting tradesmen’s vehicles during the late evening and early hours of the morning and stealing expensive power tools. To avoid becoming a victim, please ensure that your vehicle or trailer is locked and secured when left unattended. It is also very important that all or your power tools are engraved with your licence number so that in the event your tools are stolen and recovered by police, these tools can be returned to the rightful owner quickly.
