“Prost” to Oktoberfest at golf club

“It was a terrific afternoon. And our staff did a great job to theme up the terrace,” Mr Alexander said.

“Everyone enjoyed the magnificent pork spit we had for everyone to share, German sausages, schnitzels, sauerkraut and most importantly, the private outdoor bar which poured cold beers all afternoon while there were plenty of chants of “broscht” or “prost” meaning ‘cheers’ in German.

“Daine Runnalls was great as always and provided some fun tunes and banter to keep everyone smiling.

“It was great to have so many members in to enjoy the day, but most pleasingly, it was great to see so many new faces.

“Best of all, I think everyone would’ve left with a smile on their face, which is what it’s all about.

“After the success of the last two years we are hoping that the Oktoberfest on the Terrace can remain one of our annual events for the community.”
