Hosted by the NSW Department of Education, Pulse Deniliquin was a festival of music, drama, film, singing and dancing over three days.
Students from Years 3 to 12 participated in hands-on workshops led by industry professionals, culminating in a spectacular showcase at the Deniliquin Town Hall on Thursday night.
With two packed performances and a combined audience of around 500 people, the event was a resounding success.
This was the first time the Pulse program has been hosted in the local area, and arts coordination officer Peter Hayward confirmed it would not be the last.
“The show went amazingly; we filled the town hall to the brim,” he said.
“We are now planning to be back next year.”
Pulse was the perfect lead into this week’s Education Week, which is designed to celebrate the role schools play in inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.
The 2025 theme is ‘Ignite your potential’.
