Benalla Rural City Council is reminding swimming pool and spa owners to log into the council’s online portal Greenlight via www.benalla.vic.gov.au to check the due dates for their next swimming pool compliance certificates.

Council’s records show that a significant number of swimming pools are due for compliance certification in the coming months.

To assist owners in meeting their obligations, the system automatically sends reminder emails 60 days and 30 days before the certificate’s due date.

Owners are encouraged to ensure their contact details are up to date and to check their email inboxes — including spam or junk folders — for these notifications.

All swimming pools and spas capable of holding water deeper than 300mm (30cm) must be registered with Benalla Rural City Council.

Additionally, owners are responsible for ensuring their pools or spas have compliant safety barriers.

This includes conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly to ensure ongoing safety.

If owners experience any issues accessing the portal or have questions about compliance, they are encouraged to contact the building department at council.

The team is available to provide assistance and ensure the compliance process is straightforward.

For further information, visit the council’s Greenlight portal via www.benalla.vic.gov.au or call its building department on 5760 2665.
