Jerilderie was the venue for round 9. With only seven of the eight netball teams playing, there were somewhat less spectators and an unusual quiet around the courts.

However there was plenty to cheer about as most teams shared success.
A Grade
Rennie 59 defeated Jerilderie 34.
Rennie A grade had another convincing win on the weekend. The girls got off to a great start and capitalized on all the opportunities afforded by the defensive pressure applied all over the court.
The attack end was boosted by the return of Stacey Davis in GS who provided a strong target in the goal ring all game.
The girls came away victors.
Awards: Yarrawonga Hotel – Stacey Davis, Terminus Hotel – Bri Magro, Lake Mulwala Bakery – Brylee McCarty and One Zach – Maddie McInness.
B Grade
Rennie 40 defeated by Jerilderie 45.
B made some terrible passing and poor decisions with the ball and couldn’t get their heads to clear, so they could focus more on the Hoppers game.
However some good passages of play and flow down the court gave the shooters a number of scoring opportunities.
Only going down by 5 goals, the team set their eyes on next two games before two late byes in the season. Awards: Yarrawonga Hotel – Kayla Oughton, Bella Pelle – Nada Nolen, and Wingate’s Sports – Kristy McDougall.
C Grade
Rennie 42 defeated Jerilderie 39.

Under 15s
Rennie 43 defeated Jerilderie 24.
The Jerilderie girls came out strong and really pushed the Hopper girls throughout the game. It was really good to see the girls step up when needed.
The final score didn’t reflect the game. Well done girls on a good win.
Awards: Lake Mulwala Bakery – Brooke Knight, Judd’s Mensland Visor – Abbey Coghill, Mulwala Pharmacy – Sophie O’Dwyer and Redback Waste – Charli Head.
Under 13s
Rennie 26 defeated Jerilderie 12.
With a few players away, the girls started off slow in the first quarter, adjusting to the cold weather and trying to find their combinations with one another.
However the following quarters were much better, turnovers were being converted by shooters, with very accurate shooting.
Defence worked hard all day to stop Jerilderie getting an easy shot on goal and in most cases caused a turnover.
Midcourt players drove extremely well, getting to the top of the circle and providing great feeds into the shooters.
A special thanks to Iris Elliot from Under 11’s for benching this week and getting a quarter on at WD.
Awards: Lake Mulwala Bakery – Laynee Rhodes, Yarrawonga Fish’n’Chips – Sophia Shaw, The Athenaeum – Georgia Phillips and McDonald’s – Makenzie Clark.
Under 11s
A first for Rennie Under 11s; only seven out of the 13 players were available Saturday, which gave the girls no bench.
All seven ran out the game in great form. Assistant coach Sophie Coghill led the girls well and read the change of positions with poise.
Great game to watch, keep it up.
Awards to Demi Rhodes for superb passing, Iris “bulldog” Elliott for her attack on the ball and Chloe Perryman for continuing to work on the small things.
Awards: RRR Canteen Voucher – Demi Rhodes, Courtyard Cafe – Iris Elliott and McDonald’s – Chloe Perryman.
