Building Our Moira: Your Shire, Your Say brings five integrated plans together in one place, making it easier to see the complete picture; the draft Financial Plan 2025–2035, the draft 2025/26 budget, the draft Revenue and Rating Plan 2025–2029, the draft Council Plan 2025–2029 and lastly the draft Asset Plan 2025–2035.
The plans provide a roadmap to guide council toward a more inclusive, sustainable, and positive future.
Moira Shire Council chair administrator, Graeme Emonson said the council had made providing feedback accessible to everybody.
“Visit the council’s website to read the draft plans and complete a short survey for each, and if you need assistance, please phone the council,” Dr Emonson said.
Two community information sessions will be held this month, which Dr Emonson said were an informal way for people to speak directly with council staff, ask questions, and find out how the plans affect you.
A submission hearing will be held in June, giving the opportunity for community members who have provided a formal written submission, to speak in support of their submission directly.
