The ClubMulwala Yarrawonga Mulwala Agricultural Show made its much-awaited return on the weekend to the delight of locals and tourists.

Spring weather turned up, new events attracted members of the community and tourists alike and children of all ages combined to make this year’s show a great success on the last Friday and Saturday of the Victorian school holidays.

“The Yarrawonga and Border Agricultural and Pastoral Association Inc. would love to give a big shout out to our guests who came to our wonderful show this weekend,” Yarrawonga and Border Show Secretary Sue Jackson said.

“Friday night was awesome. The families who came through the gate were excited to be back. The screams of delight from those who were game enough to go on the rides and then the oh’s and ah’s at the wonderful ClubMulwala Fireworks were a delight.”

A big hit with the young and old was the return of the wood chopping and Wild Action Zoo.
Issac was brave in having a large snake draped over his shoulders as part of the Wild Action Zoo.

The side show alley, handball competition, animal nursery, children’s pavilion, Miss ShowGirl, Dress up parade, pet, bike and scooter parades also entertained the children.
Local ex radio presenter Matt Dowling opened the show.

“Saturday with the sheep competitions, sheep shearing, animal nursery, Wild Action Zoo, kids activities, grand parade and record number of horse entries was buzzing,” Ms Jackson said.

“We were blown away with the children’s colouring competition and the delight of everyone seeing their items on display was wonderful. We saw some of the best crowds we have had at the show and with the wonderful weather, it was amazing.”
To make an agricultural show a success, many individuals and groups work together to provide the best weekend for the community with Ms Jackson wanting to thank all those that assisted in making the show a great hit.
