Showgrounds toilet upgrade

The replacement “all-abilities” toilet facility at the Yarrawonga Showgrounds

A replacement of the Yarrawonga Showgrounds Public Toilet facility is all but complete.

The non-compliant western toilet block at Yarrawonga Showgrounds has been replaced with a modular toilet block

The new facility includes four stalls: one all-abilities stall, one ambulant stall, and two standard unisex stalls will better meet the community’s needs.

The modular facility has been installed over a three-week period in the same location as the current structure, with new access paths for improved accessibility.

Council identified that the old toilet block was non-compliant in terms of all-abilities access.

Current requirements for accessible (unisex) facilities and ambulant facilities, door widths, landing and graded paths to this block were not up to code or evident

“The new toilet block will provide an amenity for the many casual users of the reserve such as dog walkers as well as markets and events etc,” council stated on its website.
