The residential estate was to be surrounded by a golf course, luxury hotel complex and was to take between 10 and 20 years to complete. Now, that’s going to be achieved.
As of last week, approximately 960 blocks of land have been sold, surrounding what is an 18-hole championship Black Bull Golf Course which hosts big golf tournaments. It is the biggest development of its kind along the Murray River surviving through many ups and own including the global financial crisis and the sale of the development to the current owner, Lotus Living owned by the Bozzo family.
Available lots of land are running out fast with Easter this year predicted to being prospective buyers’ last opportunity to snap up a block of land.
Just how quickly blocks have been selling recently is the fact that since Silverwoods Golf & Lifestyle Resort’s estate manager Leanne Irvine commenced in her job 10 months ago, 143 blocks have been sold.
“We’ve currently got five lots of Stage 9 C overlooking the 11th and 12th fairways,” she told the Yarrawonga Chronicle.
“There’s one waterfront block in Silverwoods Boulevard, an 880sqm lot priced at $1.3 million.
“Just released last Saturday are 13 lots in Stage 9 C overlooking the 11th and 12th fairways. Prices range from $308,000 to $458,000 and lot sizes range from 512sqm to 684sqm.”
Once gone, they’re gone!
Over the Easter long weekend the final 13 lots will be released for sale. “The 13 lots will be the very last, the final 13 ones being released – the last blocks of land only,” Leanne said.
“Once they are gone, they are gone! Buy your piece of paradise now.” She emphasised: “Sensational Silverwoods is selling out fast! Last lots, don’t miss out!
“We do have currently seven house and land packages. The homes will have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, double garage and will be low maintenance. Hadar Homes will build the homes and will be ready for occupancy mid to late 2023.”
Leanne reeled off a long list of places from where purchasers over the past 10 months reside, which include Yarrawonga Mulwala, Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Wangaratta, Wodonga and Cobram. Most will be lived in by the owners. Some are investments.
She said generally speaking, the type of buyer is the person who likes to play golf and/or likes water/water sports and is over 40-years-of-age.
“Oliver Hume Home Loans is free service for our clients which has access up to 40 different banking institutions,” Leanne said.
