The ‘Know Check Ask’ campaign promotes the use of a three-step approach to help increase awareness of and educate the public about, the importance of using medication safely.
Endorsed by the World Health Organization the campaign calls for people to:
KNOW – Your medicines and have a list.
CHECK - Your medicines to make sure you are taking them the right way.
ASK - Your health professional if you are unsure about your medication
Abbey Hammon from the Mulwala Pharmacy was thrilled to support the campaign and provide a copy of the My Medicine List to her older customers.
“At long last! We should’ve always had something like this,” she said. “I’ll fill them out for anyone that wants me to.”
Older residents of the Federation Council can pick up their free ‘ My Medicines List’ from participating pharmacies and medical centres in the Federation Council area or at any Federation Council office.
