Ovens Valley MP, Tim McCurdy said the additional funding would help deliver the final stage of the project and provide modern learning facilities to support Yarrawonga’s growing population.
“Completing Stage 3 at Yarrawonga College P-12 has been my number one priority since 2014, and I’m incredibly proud to make this commitment to our students, families and teachers,” Mr McCurdy said.
“Yarrawonga is growing rapidly, and our school infrastructure needs to keep pace.
“Labor committed $9 million in this year’s budget, but more investment is needed to deliver the completed campus our students and teachers deserve.”
The project will bring students from Prep through to Year 12 together on a single campus, creating opportunities for stronger connections across year levels, improved access to learning facilities and a more integrated school community.
“Families are choosing Yarrawonga as their home, and we need to make sure our schools have the facilities to support them,” he said.
“Regional students deserve access to modern learning environments and the same opportunities as students anywhere in Victoria.”
