With a goal this year to raise at least $5000 to beat last year’s amount, organisers were thrilled to announce that their goal had been blown out of the park.
“We were blown away with the generosity of our little community again and are proud to say we have currently raised $6310 this year,” said event organiser Aleisha Laws.
There were 29 items up for auction at the morning tea which included local hampers, potted plants, local accommodation and dining packages, just to name a few.
Lots of fun was had with games such as high tea bingo and guess the teacup being played, a lucky door prize and raffle to be won.
Winner of the first prize in the raffle, Deb Ward, received free accommodation at Maidens Inn Moama, a free paddle steamer cruise, cinema tickets and meal vouchers.
Jan Laws took home second prize which was a free mini photo shoot with photographer Erica Jane.
Third went to Peg Starkey, who won the CARLA glow fire pit.
Guests were also entertained by singers Morgan Hadjialexiou from Mathoura and Annabelle Lees from Deniliquin.
