Two local VCE students have finished in the top 3 per cent of the state with their ATAR scores.

Yarrawonga P-12 Student and Dux Sophie O’Dywer achieved an ATAR of 99.05 with two perfect scores of 50.
Sophie achieved a 50 in Health and Human Development last year, while in Year 11, she achieved another 50 in Outdoor Education this year. Her other subjects included English, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematical Methods. Sophie has yet to decide on her tertiary studies but is looking at the science, medical sciences, or commerce fields.
Luke Slattery received an ATAR score of 97.30, finishing in the top 3 per cent of the state.
Luke Slattery, who attends Wangaratta’s Cathedral College, also achieved outstanding academic success with an ATAR of 97.30. Luke has applied to study for a Bachelor of Engineering at Monash University.
The VCE results were released to 51,214 students at 7am on Monday.
More than 21,000 graduates have received individual study subject scores of 40 or higher, more than 650 have received the maximum study score of 50, and a further 3,048 have been awarded the VCE Baccalaureate.
An ATAR over 80 was achieved by over 30 per cent of VCE students, while 40 per cent of students received a ranking above 70.
