About 150 people attended, hearing from a range of experts and perusing the 20 business, trade and information displays.
Chamber executive officer Kate Pitt has said she was amazed by the support.
“We’re extremely grateful to everyone who contributed to making the night a success,” she said.
“The weather was incredibly hot that day and our tradies were all working out in it, so to have such a big turnout after that was fantastic.
“The best thing was the camaraderie between everyone.
“Everyone’s asking about dates for next year already and it is great to see the Do It In Deni stickers on tradie vehicles and hats from the gift bags on tradies’ heads already.“
Ms Pitt said the night was targeted at the trades industry because it is one of the largest employment sectors in Deniliquin.
“It helps keep young locals living and working in Deniliquin, which was celebrated in style by this new initiative,” she said.
“Any tradies that missed out on the night, or anyone interested in attending similar events in the future, can find more details and become a member of the chamber at www.deniliquinchamber.com.au.”
Guest speakers at the dinner were local health professionals Dr Ben James and Deniliquin Local Health Advisory Committee member Darren Mitchell, Court Sayer-Roberts from Enterprise Plus, Glen Fitzgerald from Worx Safety and Stuart Larkin and Michelle Lyon from SafeWork NSW.
The first 125 people through the doors went away with a gift bag valued at $75, and all in attendance were in the running for some great door prizes.
The event was supported by firsthealth Limited and Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network Community Grants through the Federal Government’s PHN program.
