Another week, another monster win for the senior Bears who have now won two matches this season, over 200 points.
Dominant from start to finish after the one hour and 30 minute trip to Mathoura.
The seniors came out firing and never let up.
11 different goal kickers got on the board including a couple of thirds boys.
Four thirds played, and showed how strong this clubs future looks.
Goal kickers were led by ‘Big Red’ Ned McKeown who slotted 11, who in two weeks of footy has kicked 25 majors.
A special mention to Flynn Fletcher for finally finding out how to kick them between the two big sticks.
Josh Cheek and Jaydo Arnold combined for some fantastic deliveries inside forward 50.
It was as good as can be defensively, as Tungamah didn’t give Mathoura a chance all day.
The side all played their role to keep their opponents scoreless.
The Seniors look to continue their winning streak as they return to the Bear pit to play Blighty, go the Bears.
Reserves
Mathoura 1.1.7 def by Tungamah 18.15.123.
As the lunch time legends punched Mathoura into the GPS, many suddenly remembered they had a haircut booked, a rental inspection or that they had driven three hours down the Hume the night prior.
The ‘Primetrain’ of the reserves football Jack Connell, continued his form getting right in there.
Mooka Kroon in for his first game was dangerous, it’s been a long time since the reserves have seen a player be able to kick well on both feet.
There is concern for how long the reserves will be graced by his presence in the early time slot.
Mitchy Adkins tested out the shoulder by hailing cabs in the forward line.
Unfortunately he was about as successful as hailing them at 3am on Chapel Street.
For a bloke who wouldn’t possess the self-control to work at a bubble wrap factory, Memphis backed up with another solid game.
Smitty has filed to change his address to the forward 50, and got on the end of one good delivery.
Gambi Cooper was instrumental in setting up Mathoura’s only goal with a slightly wayward switch kick attempt.
Still claims Jack Connell should have got there, allegedly in negotiations about a forward line position next year at the timber cutters.
All in all, a good win.
Credit to the Mathoura lunch time legends for what was a great, fun game.

Thirds
Mathoura 1.0.6 def by Tungamah 17.14.116
This week the Thirds made the long journey to Mathoura.
The Bears matched up well against the tall and tough opposition.
It was a tight tussle early in the first quarter, with the Thirds kicking a few goals and pulling away to a nice quarter time lead.
The second quarter saw some scrappy football, with the boys bringing it onto their terms as time went on, and saw good ball movement, resulting in more scoreboard pressure.
As the game wore on, the Bears showed great physical aggression and discipline as tempers flared from the opposition.
The Thirds remained poised to add to the scoreboard.
The fourth quarter remained the same, with kids showing their skills in different positions as they had been given the chance to do all day.
It was great to see such a team effort by the whole team, as they came away with a convincing win.

Fourths
Mathoura 0.1.1 def by Tungamah 16.15.111.
It was a fresh early start for the boys at Mathoura who had a few players short.
The Bears were happy to send some of their players over to help Mathoura out.
16 players went and played for the opposition without a single complaint, which speaks volumes about their team spirit and character.
All the kids had a great run, playing in various positions and provided valuable experience for everyone involved.
It's encouraging to see how the Fourths are continuing to grow as a team and consistently look for the first option on the field.
Keep up the fantastic work boys.
