Tungamah 52 defeated Mathoura 18
Another warm day greeted the Bears as they arrived in Mathoura.
A Grade came out firing, and forced early turnovers and executed clean, efficient plays down the court.
By quarter time the Bears had a five goal lead.
The side settled into a strong rhythm and extended their advantage to nine goals by the main break, without needing any positional changes.
Demonstrating the depth and versatility of the squad, every player on court had taken a new position for the third quarter.
The team lifted their intensity and pushed the margin out to a 21-goal lead by three-quarter time.
With the starting line-up returning for the final term, the Bears maintained control and closed out the match with a commanding 34-goal victory.
Olivia Ford was in thrilling form.
She collected multiple intercepts and made her presence known on every play.
Amy Perry stood tall in defence by generating turnovers.
Maddie Cheek was tireless throughout the game as she showcased great interpretation of the play and positioning.
It was a comprehensive team performance and a well-earned win for the Bears.

B Grade
Tungamah 47 def Mathoura 28
Undefeated once again this week but it didn’t come easy.
The B Grade girls were made to work for every goal, with a tight and intense first half Tungamah just one point ahead at the halfway mark.
With injury challenges continuing from last week, Brodie adapted quickly with a new lineup and still dominated.
A stack of turnovers where generated which helped B-Grade break the game open in the third quarter.
A 10-point lead was earned with the momentum firmly in the sides favour.
Grace was outstanding across all four quarters as she showcased composure, endurance, and ability to link both ends of the court.
She outworked her opponent from start to finish to prove again why she’s such a vital asset.
Sophie brought grit and drive to every play, with passion that was on full display with strong leads and relentless pressure.
Every single player dug deep and showed what it means to wear the Tungamah colours.
The reward came in the form of another hard-earned win.

C Grade
Tungamah 38 defeated Mathoura 33
The team came together before the game with a desire to build on the efforts of last week and go one better and secure the first win of the season.
Remi had a standout game with lots of physical presence in the ring.
She withstood the pressure and was supported by Dan, Chloe and Illa who played as decoy which kept the defenders busy and was clinical in each goal scoring opportunity.
Jade, Bern, Rahni, Dim and Issy in the midcourt stood tall with defensive pressure which caused turnovers and loose balls.
Jorja and Bridie showed they are an awesome duo in the defensive end.
Intercepts, rebounds and a strong presence in the ring resulted in C Grade getting lots of opportunities in the offense.
Lots of positives from the game.

C Reserve
Tunga 37 def Mathoura 9
There were some last-minute changes to the lineup this week.
The team didn’t miss a beat with a game opening intercept from Tash.
The backline had hands over, under and around everything and made life as hard as possible for Mathoura.
Another new offensive line worked really well, and made more headaches for the coach at selection time.
A great team performance which showed with a three way tie for the players mug.

Under 17's
Tungamah 61 def Mathoura 37
The sun had started to shine by the time the girls took to the court.
From the first centre pass it was clear it was going to be a tough game.
Once the girls settled, they managed to take the lead.
Impressive passages of play continued as the under 17s confidence grew.
The side began to back themselves to try new things throughout the game, resulting in a solid four quarters of netball.
Chloe, Claire, Torah and Asha joined the under 17s on court after the absence of four players in a great team win.

Under 15's
Tungamah 52 def Mathoura 38
The under 15s came up against a very tall and competitive Mathoura side.
From the first whistle, it was clear Tungamah were in for a tight tussle.
The lead changed hands multiple times throughout the match.
The midcourters showed incredible vision, feeding the ball into the ring with precision and confidence to set up the shooters beautifully.
In return, the shooters backed themselves in and delivered with impressive accuracy, calmly converting under pressure.
Despite being outsized by Mathoura, Tungamah’s defenders didn’t let height dictate the game.
The side worked tirelessly with relentless pressure, and forced turnovers at crucial moments.
The players determination and grit were key in staying in the contest.
The coaching team made several strategic changes throughout the game, using different combinations to find the right balance which paid off.
Every player stepped up when needed, and the team should be extremely proud of their effort, resilience, and teamwork.

Under 13's
Tungamah 29 def Mathoura 10
The under 13s hit the road to take on Mathoura this weekend.
After a slow start in the first quarter, the girls shifted into gear and maintained a strong lead for the rest of the match to win 29–10.
A key focus for the team this round was reducing contact and obstruction calls which the girls responded to with only five called across the entire game.
A huge improvement and a credit to their discipline and awareness on court.
Milli, Annabelle, Jade, and Sienna worked tirelessly through the midcourt, linking up the play beautifully to move the ball with confidence and control.
Strong drives, solid defensive pressure, and a willingness to adapt where the positives to take away from last weekends performance, with the coaches trialling a range of combinations that all gelled nicely.

Under 11's

The girls rocked up after a long drive to some very cold conditions.
Despite this, the under 11s pushed through and played their hardest in attempts to warm up.
They were loud on the court and on the bench, encouraging each other which was great to see.
