V/Line still running between Yarrawonga and Southern Cross

No trains are running to or from Southern Cross Station but services from Yarrawonga are unaffected.

V/Line travel to Melbourne from Yarrawonga is largely unaffected by yesterday’s outage.

Due to work on the rail line through to September, coaches were already running between Benalla and Melbourne with the usual timetable running as normal this week.

Passengers can take a coach from Yarrawonga to Benalla and then another coach through to Southern Cross.

There is currently no estimated time as to when V/Line rail services will be rectified and passengers are being asked to defer any non-essential travel/.

V/Line has advised the situation is being closely monitored but there are no rail services operating towards or from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne.

Coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal.
