Using funding sourced through NSW Member for Helen Dalton, new lighting was recently installed at the Denilqiuin Rodeo arena.
Deni Rodeo committee member Allan Calderwood said it's just the latest upgrade to enhance the viewer experience after raised viewing areas were improved at the arena some years ago.
And Mr Calderwood said there would be plenty of amazing action to be seen at the Easter Saturday Deniliquin Rodeo Under The Stars.
Some of the best competitors from around the country will make their way to Deniliquin to test their skills against Garry McPhee’s best bucking stock.
The Australian Pro Rodeo Association event will include first and second division bull ride, saddle bronc and bareback bronc competitions.
There will also be barrel racing, rope and tie, steer wrestling and the highly anticipated Pub Steer challenge involving amateur riders.
Add to that a live medieval jousting demonstration, whipcracking and family friendly entertainment, merchandise stands, food and bar, and you have yourself one big day of entertainment.
The gate opens at 3pm with live music, and the rodeo action starts at 5pm and continues well into the evening under the new lights.
Tickets can be pre-purchased at https://www.ticketebo.com.au/deniliquin-rodeo-under-the-stars/deniliquin-rodeo-under-the-stars or can be purchased at the gate.
A family pass (for two adults and two children) is $90, adult tickets are $40, and concession card holders can get a ticket for $25.
Entry is $10 for children 18 and under, with children under two accompanied by a ticket holder able to attend for free.
