Hosted by WoTL (Women Together Learning) this annual event, designed for women and men across all areas of agriculture — from farming and agribusiness to education, research, policy, and beyond will bring together more than 200 delegates for two days of connection, skill-building, and inspiration.
With the theme “Women Shaping Agriculture”, the 2025 conference aims to celebrate the diversity and influence of women in the sector while equipping them with tools to continue leading change in their businesses and communities.
Yarrawonga farmer and 2023 delegate Ingrid Inchbold said she attended the event two years ago to step outside of her comfort zone and meet other like-minded women involved in agriculture.
“The event exceeded my expectations in lots of ways. The WOTL team and other attendees were friendly and welcoming,” Ms Inchbold said.
“The presenters were first class; inspiring and generous with their stories.
“I am looking forward to attending the 2025 event in August and would encourage anyone interested to come along. In my experience it was a great opportunity to network with and learn from a group of wonderful people."
Oaklands Farmer and Thriving Women organizing committee member Kathy Moloney said that Thriving Women 2025 was more than a conference; it’s a movement to empower and connect women who are the backbone of agricultural communities
“It’s an energising, future-focused event where ideas are shared, stories are heard, and networks are strengthened,” Ms Moloney said.
The robust and engaging program includes keynote presentations from renowned speakers: Lucy Bloom, a Sydney-based entrepreneur, Stephanie Trethewey, 2022 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award National Winner and Kristina Hermanson, from Nuveen Natural Capital.
Participants will also take part in 15 concurrent Toolbox Talk sessions across key themes such as business resilience, leadership, innovation, well-being, and community impact; a panel discussion on Women Shaping Agriculture and opportunities to connect with peers, speakers, and industry leaders.
