This year marked the 60th consecutive Yarrawonga Lions wool show, held alongside the Yarrawonga Mulwala Agricultural and Pastoral Show.

The number of donated fleeces increased, with 62 contributions from local farmers.
This event is made possible through the participation of members working in the industry who coordinate with local farmers.

Each year, Elders contributes to this event by providing financial support for the purchase of gift vouchers awarded to the winners.
In addition, they supply bunting and signage that enhance the appearance of the display.
The Yarrawonga Lions extend their sincere appreciation to Elders for their continued generosity.
Andrew Toms and Rob Glover are responsible for sourcing fleeces and organizing their classing and judging at the clubrooms, also referred to as the Wool Pavilion at the Showgrounds.

After judging, the fleeces are displayed for public viewing. Prizes and ribbons are awarded to farmers following the Grand Parade.
At the end of the event, the fleeces are pressed, baled, and prepared for transport to auction. This year, the proceeds from the wool sale will go to Yarrawonga Health.
Judges for the event were Tamara Pabst and Peter Byrne from the Australian Wool Network.

The Sloane family from Savernake Pastoral, who have supported the wool show since its inception, received the Lions Chris August Award from President Peter Ornsby.
This award recognises significant contributions and support to the Lions Club of Yarrawonga and the community.

Ann and Alex cut a cake to commemorate the occasion, and visitors were served afternoon tea with scones, jam, and cream.
The catering team once again adopted the Oktoberfest theme, with kransky’s being particularly well-received.
Members participated by wearing traditional German-style aprons and hats. A photo banner was displayed, which garnered significant interest from the children.
The Oktoberfest theme was well received by young and old alike.
The Lions Club were pleased to welcome Tim Roadley from Bunnings once more, who contributed a children's activity. This year, the Rock Sheep proved especially popular. Lions appreciate Tim's ongoing support and involvement.
The Yarrawonga Lions extend their sincere gratitude to members for their dedicated efforts before and during the event.

The Lions are committed to supporting the community while fostering an enjoyable atmosphere.
The show was a resounding success, and Lions appreciate everyone's enthusiastic participation, even if it resulted in some well-earned fatigue afterwards.
