The YMCC batted first on a batsman friendly wicket with Matt McCabe the captain for the YMCC and Matt Casey captain of the YFNC.
Mitch Collins Bye was destructive for the YMCC blasting 24 from 7 scoring shots including four fours and one six.
The YMCC promoted two of their junior players for the clash and Jobe Fraser made 17 with three fours; while Caleb Mitchell compiled 8 not out in a total of 6 for 109 off 10 overs.
YMCC scorers were Ben Welsh 14, Brendan Lewis 12 and Brock McCabe 14 not out.
Wicket takers for the YFNC were Cory Pearn 1 for 7; Ned Mullins 1 for 16, Jack Sexton 1 for 16; Ross Mulquiney 1 for 4 and Beau Seymour 1 for 15.
In reply the YFNC opened with Ned Mullins and Darcy Norman (both members of the YMCC on Saturdays) and Mullins slayed the YMCC attack compiling 63 from 18 scoring shots including six fours and five sixes.
Brayden Coburn was the only other players to reach double figure posting 21 from 7 scoring shots with three fours and one six.
Brodie Rudd and Beau Seymour saw the YFNC score the winning runs off the final ball of their 10 over innings.
It is the first time the footballers have won the annual fixture and it was great to see the cricketers and footballers come together with a number of players on both teams playing cricket and football within the township.
