Police said the crash occurred at 3.10pm after the Jeep passed one vehicle on the Bendigo-Murchison Rd, and as it returned to its lane, realised that a second car now in front of it was slowing down to turn right into Channel Inlet Rd.
The driver of the Jeep then swerved left to the left to avoid a collision, and ran off the road, police said.
It then jumped a table drain running beside the road, before stopping after landing on some fallen logs.
The driver, a woman in her 30s from the Bendigo suburb of Golden Square, and two young boys in the car were taken to hospital by ambulance because of the nature of the crash.
All three were released from hospital a few hours later, police said.
Police said the woman would be fined for careless driving.
