Lake Eildon boat blaze: teens flown to hospital

The boat was near the boat ramp when it caught fire.

A CFA spokesperson said the fire was declared under control by 2.25pm, and was safe 11 minutes later.

The two boat occupants, both 18-year-old men from the Murrindindi area, were injured in the fire and flown to The Alfred hospital in Melbourne by air ambulance.

Both were in a serious condition when they were airlifted — one with upper body injuries, and the other with upper and lower body injuries.
