ClubMulwala Outdoor Bowls
Tuesday, February 18– Midweek Elimination Final
Division A2 – Club Mulwala 89 defeated YMGCR 51.
This was a game where, on paper at least, YMGCR with a good number of very good players would have expected to win.
Even some of our own team members were expressing some concerns with the talent we were facing.
What they didn’t do however was talk down our own team and we were of the opinion, that in a two-horse race, we were even money.
The Club Mulwala team played exceptionally well and the results show that as being very dominate in most areas of the game despite drawing one rink. There is always room for improvement and a few ‘bugs’ need to be ironed out during practice this week before facing Wodonga in the Preliminary Final.
Tuesday, February 18 – Midweek Qualifying Final.
Division A2 – Corowa RSL 69 defeated Wodonga 67.
A very close game that went down to the wire with a result only being decided on the last end. Congratulations to Corowa RSL on making the final.
Saturday, February 22 – Weekend Pennant Preliminary Final.
Division A4 – Milawa 84 lost to Swanpool 98.

Pennant Results - Midweek Pennant.
Tuesday February 18 was the start of the finals with the elimination/qualifying finals being played.
The A1 played Wodonga at Corowa Civic and won.
They now go straight into the Grand Final on Tuesday March 3. Well done to all!
A3 played Yackandandah at Wangaratta, unfortunately they lost this game. This is where the 2nd chance comes in, giving them another chance to get into the Grand final.
The preliminary final will have been played by the time this goes to print, hopefully we will have good news on this next week.
We hope there will be plenty of supporters coming to watch the A1 and hopefully A3 teams playing in the Grand Final. Once we know the venue, we will post it on the board.
Win or lose, we will be celebrating back at the clubhouse, so please come back and join in together.
