The YMCC A Grade team have total control of their round 9 two-day clash against Greta.

Greta won the toss and elected to bat on the vast expanses of the Stan Hargreaves Oval in Yarrawonga, but it was the YMCC Lakers who took control with James Irvine taking two quick wickets to see Greta at 2 for 2.
Soon the Greta team were teetering at 4 for 15 with Irvine terrorising with excellent fast bowling.
His partner in crime at the other end, Angus McMillan was unplayable bowling 9 overs and conceding just 12 runs with 5 maidens.
The only sizable partnership from Greta was their fifth wicket of 31 which advanced the score to 46 before again quick wickets fell due to tight bowling and after wickets falling with the score on 46, 50, 55, 62, 66 and finally 75.
The Greta innings was all over in just 44.4 overs. Bowling figures were Irvine 4 for 9 off 8.4 overs, Will Sharp 2 for 13 off 5, Brock McCabe 2 for 18 off 7, Corey McIntosh 1 for 2 off 4, Matt Casey 1 for 7 off 2 overs.
While not taking a wicket Matt McCabe conceded just 12 runs from 9 overs and McMillan again conceding 12 off 9 overs.
With 30 overs to play out day 1, YMCC took to batting with Josh Lawrence and Corey McIntosh starting the chase and the opening pair didn’t disappoint with a 50-run opening stand.
However Lawrence fell for 31 and then four runs later McIntosh was out for 19 and the Lakers were 2 for 54.
Casey was joined by Harry Wheeler and they coasted past the total and applied the run pressure to advance to 111 before Casey fell for 37 in a great innings.
Captain Reid Clarke joined Wheeler and they batted out the final overs to finish on 3 for 131 at stumps on day 1.
Wheeler on 16 not out and Clarke on 17 not out.
Day 2 will be played next Saturday from 1pm at the Stan Hargreaves Oval, Victoria Park in Yarrawonga.
