It’s a huge week of golf in Yarrawonga Mulwala this week with the Black Bull Golf Club-hosted Shepparton BMW Victorian PGA Seniors Championship, followed by the Furphy Senior Victorian Open at Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort.

The two two-day tournaments from Tuesday to Friday involve some 75 professionals throughout Australia, including the big four Peters – Senior, O’Malley, Fowler and Lonard.
The week’s official opening took place at Black Bull on Monday evening. “Welcome everybody,” Black Bull Tournament Director James McCully told players, sponsors and golf fans.
“It’s great to see the legends. This event has grown over the years – this is the fifth consecutive year. It’s fantastic to be involved in another spectacular event.
“Thank you to all the professionals. On behalf of all here at Black Bull and the McCully family, we hope you have a great time and good luck!”
A big thank you to major sponsor Shepparton BMW was expressed by the tournament director who also acknowledged all other sponsors.
The progress with the 4.5 star resort at Silverwoods was mentioned by James. “It’s coming along amazingly well with an opening expected mid-year,” he told the professionals.
The Black Bull tournament ends today (Wednesday) then players will take to YMGCR’s Lake Course Thursday and the Murray Course on Friday. There is no charge to see these wonderful professional golfers play our courses. There is a Sportsman’s Night at YMGCR Thursday night but you’d better be quick to get a seat – enquiries at YMGCR.
