Coaches and players create club’s newest vision

The Yarrawonga Football Netball Club (YFNC) will be the envy of many clubs with a new state-of-the-art theatre style training and vision facility.

A new three-tiered seating for players facing a drop-down screen with a projector mounted from the roof have been built within the senior football change rooms at the JC Lowe Oval ready for the 2020 season.

This modernised coaching tool has taken the professional approach to coaching at the Pigeons’ home to a new level.

Vision of play and training drills can be taken and then driven by a lap top computer. A handy ‘birds eye view’ can be reviewed and analysed by players and coaches allowing them to work on the finer points of game plans and structures.

This project was driven largely by the coaching group with Marcus Cummins at the helm.

The build was put together entirely by players and club connections who have kindly donated time and skills to build the new facility.

Senior coach Mark Whiley along with Jack Sexton and Owen Conway can be credited with the build.

Murray Valley Electrical’s Jess Koopman, Harry Wheeler and Jordy Urquhart completed the electrical work.

Dean Bigger and Biggers Floorworld supplied the flooring and its installation with labour from Matt Wallington and Cam Byrne.

All of these are terrific club people putting in their own time and effort to help keep improving the facilities down at the Pigeons.
