Women’s cricket to expand

By joining the GM league allows for a pathway for girls who want to still play competitive cricket.

The comp is played on turf, 30 over games and the club are looking for players.

“We have a handful of senior players who have played previously in Melbourne and experienced success. Emily Langdren, Emmaline Howards, Crystal Stevens and all-rounder Kayla Shepherd,” WDCA Womens cricket coordinator Andrea Belci said.

“We also have a good group of up and coming juniors Emily Mitchell, Grace Kerwin, Lara Belci, Lucy White.

“Our idea is to create a squad of players and blend the seniors and the juniors in.

“We are looking for more players and will be holding trainings when restrictions lift.”
