Lake Mulwala Angling Club’s annual fishing competition was held on the weekend of March 26 and 27 in perfect weather conditions.

The event attracted 240 competitors, with 66 of these being juniors under 18.
125 anglers including 31 juniors, registered a total of 370 fish over the weekend. This being made up of 323 cod, 12 golden perch and 35 carp.
Early on Saturday morning one lucky angler landed a 108cm cod. A second cod over the magic meter was later recorded at 103cm.
The juniors registered 50 fish for the weekend, with 2 of these entering 5 fish each. The biggest fish in the junior section was 83cm.

All competitors enjoyed a Friday night meal followed by breakfast and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
Presentations were held on Sunday afternoon which included a motor guide trolling motor, a number of Lowrance Sounders, rods, reels, camping equipment, accommodation vouchers and many more prestigious prices.
