Pennant results Midweek: Travelled to Corowa Civic and had a solid victory. 71 to 50 shots, winning two rinks and drawing one which gave Tungamah a 13 to 1 point win.

Now in the four by a lonely point and are at home to Corowa RSL next.
A3s: Not a lot of joy to report, Beechworth loved the Tungamah green and cleaned them up, 75 to 58.
Tunga got 2 points for one rink but unfortunately remain on the bottom of the ladder.
Off to Club Mulwala next.
B1s: Travelled down the road to St James who were used to the condition of their green which is so different to Tunga’s. They played well and won 73 to 30.
Tungamah remain seventh on the ladder which is a positive. Off to Club Mulwala next.
Both teams will play there as the Tungamah green is having renovations.
Club Championships: Dylan Sidebottom plays Steve “Smav” Flanagan and Kirra Dickins plays Kerry Ralph.
Pairs are also on the go but as the Tungamah green is being renovated these will be play when possible.
Raffle:$20 ticket for a five-day holiday with $1000 spending money in Maroochydore or tickets for six at a Storm game at AAMI Stadium or a Sthill Chainsaw, case and Esky.
YMGCR Bowls
Mid-week Pennant
The A1s undertook the road trip to Benalla last Tuesday and after the last shot was fired, it was YMGCR 79 shots and 14 points to Benalla 35 shots and 0 points.
Streeting their opposition 25 shots to Benalla 7 shots were Rhonda Irvine (L), Chris Horne (2), Gary Presnell (3), and Ian Brimblecombe (S).
The A1s are in third place on 58 points, and their next assignment is Myrtleford at home.
As with the A1s, the A2s were also on the road last week, travelling to Dederang.
It was the A2s who had a meritorious away victory. Final scores saw YMGCR 62 shots and 12 points to Dederang 41 shots and 2 points.
Showing no mercy to their Dederang opponents were Caroline Reilly (L), Vicki Withers (2), Garry Seamer (3), and Greg Fisher (S), who bested their Dederang opposition 24 shots to 9 shots.
The A2s are currently in third place on 64 points and next week the A2s are at home to Club Mulwala.
The B2s entertained Howlong at the Golf Club, and it was a solid home win for YMGCR.
After the 63 rd end, it was YMGCR 67 shots and 10 points, defeating Howlong 59 shots and 4 points.
Winning as they pleased were Sue Evans (L), Caroline Boston (2), Garry Hart (3), and Vic Brincat (S), who won 30 shots to Howlong 12 shots.
The B2s are in sixth place on the ladder, and their next outing sees them undertake the long journey to Lavington.
Weekend Pennant
The A1s played host to Lavington last Saturday and it was a convincing win for YMGCR.
The final scores saw YMGCR 89 shots and 14 points to Lavington 65 shots and 4 points.
Winning in fine style were Judy Leeson (L), Mick Reilly (2), Michael Vaughan (3), and Ray Irvine (S) who saw off their Lavington opponents 31 shots to 5 shots.
The A1s are in third place on the ladder with 84 points. Their next outing is a round nine away fixture against Yarrawonga under lights, on Friday evening.
The A3s undertook the road trip to Howlong last week and it was a regulation home win for Howlong. Final scores saw Howlong 87 shots and 16 points to YMGCR 71 shots and 2 points. Securing two points for YMGCR were Barb Tennyson (L), Bill Jenkins (2), Vic Brincat (3), and Neil Loveridge (S) who had a plucky away rink win beating Howlong 21 shots to 12 shots.
The A3s are now sixth place on the ladder on 61 points. Their next outing is a round nine home game against Swanpool.
The B1s entertained Moyhu at the Golf Club last Saturday and after a tight tussle, it was Moyhu who won the day.
Final scores saw Moyhu 58 shots and 12 points defeat YMGCR 56 shots and 2 points.
Keeping up their end of the contract, and winning well for YMGCR, were Bob Brokenshire (L), Tony Durkin (2), Doug Wheeler (3), and Vicki Withers (S), who won 27 shots to Moyhu 12 shots. The B1s are now in sixth place on the ladder on 36 points. Next week they are away to Moira.
The B2s had a home engagement against Corowa Civic and in a close tussle it was the B2s who won the day.
Final scores saw YMGCR 56 shots and 12 points defeat Corowa Civic 54 shots and 2 points. Putting in another solid shift for YMGCR were Neville Coleman (L), Chris Morrissy (2), Terry Cartwright (3), and David Irvine (S), who won 22 shots to Corowa Civic 16 shots.
The B2s are now in fourth place on the ladder with 83 points in the bag. Next week they are on the road for a round nine engagement with Myrtleford.
Thursday Social Bowls
Last Thursday saw a strong turnout of 40 players take advantage of the greens, which were again running well.
Play was in the North South orientation, and the weather gods were on the players side with fine weather the order of the day.
Winning the day and sharing $100 and a drink card each were Vicki and Col Withers.
Second place saw Sue Evans and Neville Coleman share $80. The losing rink consolation prize of $60 went to the team of Bob Brokenshire and Allan Goudge.
The first Lucky Number prize of $20 went to Ron Lamson.
The second Lucky Number prize, also $20 was won by Cate Febey.

ClubMulwala Outdoor Bowls
Pennant wins continue
This week saw the Club Mulwala Pennant continue their good form with multiple wins in midweek and weekend games.
On Tuesday the A3s continued their winning way with very close win of one shot at St James. Daryl Richmond's rink led the way with all players contributing to a +10 win while Ian Morrfew's rink also played well to win +5.
Despite not a winning rink Di Day's rink managed a one shot win on their last ends courtesy of lead Darren Liversidges bowl managing to stay there the whole end.
The B2s weren't so lucky going down to Corowa RSL by just under 30 shots.
Reg Atkinson's rink again made a valiantly effort winning by a +7 margin.
The A2s played at home against a tough Wangaratta team but managed to win all three rinks. Les Spencer's team again led the way with a great +10 win while Steve Day's rink battled hard for a +4 win.
On Saturday the A2s made the long trek to Bright with the morning weather not showing much promise of completing the game.
In what turned into a fine afternoon Club Mulwala played well against an inform team to win three out of four rinks with a margin just over 30 shots.
Andy Lefevre led up front by Wade McPherson, Graeme Arnold and John Walford combined the best with a +24 win closely followed by Darkie Day's rink with +20.
The A3s had a close win at home against the higher placed Myrtleford getting over the line despite only winning one rink by an overall four shots.
The rink of Ian Price, Heie Hansen, Betty Richmond and skip Ian Morrfew played great bowls to win by +18 ably supported by the rinks who kept the scores close to enable the win.
The B2s put in a strong effort against the top side Corowa RSL only going down by 10 shots overall.
James Murdoch's rink showed good form again to eke out a two shot win.
On the home scene congratulations to Sue Middleton and Dane Ryan who made the O&M squad to take on Goulburn Murray this Sunday.
Also Kay Smith and Sue made the O&M ladies triples final but unfortunately went down in a hard-fought match.
The Mixed Pairs sheet is up closing on January 2 and first round on January 11. Only a couple of matches left till the Club Singles finals are completed.
The bowls Xmas party is booked for this coming Sunday so please put your names on the list so final numbers can be completed.
Barefoot bowls parties are proving popular so if your group is looking for a fun way to celebrate the year contact the club to book your date.
As always if interested in taking up the fun sport of bowls or a bowler recently moved to town the $100 membership is still available.

Monday, November 24 - 28 bowlers took to the green for a pleasant day of bowls. Winners were Sue and Greg Wood - great work you two.
Runners up were Ken Chamberlain and Shane Maddox - well done. Jackpot didn’t go off and Ken Smith won the lucky number. Congrats.

Mid week pennant
Tuesday, November 25
A1 are travelling quite well and scored a comfortable win playing Corowa Civic away winning 65-49 with two rinks up.
Robbie Wickhams rink including Peter McKay, Brian Batty and Geoff Hargreaves had a day out winning 33-7. Well done A1s. Keep going strong.
B1s had a tough outing visiting Moyhu losing 44-65. Keep your chin up guys.
Saturday, November 29
Pennant - The A1 team did the long trek to Myrtleford and had a tightly contested game going down with a competitive score of 77-87.
All rinks performed well and once again Robbie Wickham skipped a winning rink with Ros King, Wayne Barnes and Geoff Hargreaves combining to win 21-16 – well done.
A4s had an excellent win at home against Rutherglen winning 2/4 rinks and drawing one.
Jock McQualters rink of Rosene Andrews, Judy Wenzel and Greg Wood scored a good win 23/16 as did Maurie Lees’ rink of Gary Lovel, Ken Chamberlain and Noeleen Borg. Great job A4s.
B1s travelled to Moira and unfortunately had a big loss 37-78. The highlight for the day was the Gary Park skipped rink of Jules Alan, Sue Wood and Anne Taylor nabbing a good rink win with a score of 20-11 great job.
Go the Waterbaggers.
Please note pennant practice has started Thursday nights from 4pm. The club ask all bowlers to make every endeavour to participate.
Over 60s competition
The crew headed to Oaklands for a great day on and off the green scoring two winning rinks skippered by Maurie Lee And Batman and as usual enjoying themselves in the process.

Barefoot bowls is back
Barefoot Bowlers never cease to amaze with their camaraderie and support. This week saw many regulars and a lot of new faces enjoying the mild weather, the sausage sizzle, the music and of course the bowls under new lights.
Was great to see the green at full capacity. Thursday nights really is like a family.
Come and join the fun - Cost is $5 and includes bbq dinner. BBQ 6pm, bowls 6.30 to approx 8.30pm.
Raffles and prizes. Please have name down on the sheet at front of club house by 3pm and also if cancelling so organisers can have the draw done correctly.
Friday night happy hour
Fridays are always a lovely fun atmosphere.
Why not come along and have a coldie and a yarn this week. Remember happy hour is on every Friday 5pm-6pm with the bar open from 4pm.
Club Christmas party and final weekend pennant

The clubs Christmas party is on Sunday, December 14 on the Cumberoona 5pm-7.30pm.
Cost is $20 which includes cruise, dinner and live entertainment
The event is open to all members, friends and family.
Names and money due by December 9.
It’s looking to be a cracking event and over 70 names are already down which is fabulous.
Raffle tickets for the annual Christmas raffle are being distributed now, if you don’t have any tickets ask Evelyn for some.
The club also have baskets for goodies for the Xmas hampers in the clubrooms.
All donations are gratefully accepted, however they ask you check any food donations are still within use by date.
Last Saturday pennant – December 13
The club will provide refreshments and draw all the Christmas raffles from 5pm onwards after the final pennant day of the year.
Come and have a drink, hopefully take home one of the many hampers and toast the festive season and the end of year bowls break. After match gathering open to all.
