The A1s undertook the short trip down Belmore Street last Tuesday for an away fixture against local rivals Yarrawonga. After the last end it was a narrow margin shot wise win for YMGCR.
Final scores; YMGCR 58 shots and 10 points to Yarrawonga 54 shots and 4 points.
The only winning rink for YMGCR was the team of Rhonda Irvine (L), Chris Horne (2), Greg Green (3) and Ian Brimblecombe (S), who put their opposition to the sword 29 shots to Yarrawonga 9 shots.
The A1s are currently in 3 rd place on the ladder with 84 points in the Christmas stocking.
When Mid – Week Pennant resumes on the 20 th of January the A1s have a home fixture against Corowa Civic.
The A2s travelled to Benalla for an away encounter at Moira.
And it was the home side who greeted the judges after the 63 rd end.
The final score saw Moira 64 shots and 12 points down YMGCR 46 shots and 2 points.
Waving the flag for YMGCR were Bill Jenkins (L), Liliana Borwick (2), Shirley Hummel (3), and Rob Hummel (S), who won 20 shots to Moira 12 shots.
At the Christmas break the A2s sit in third spot on the ladder with 81 points.
After the Christmas spell they shape up for a home match against Wodonga.
The B2s entertained Corowa RSL last Tuesday and there was nothing Christmassy about the way they handled the opposition.
At the end of the game, it was a clean sweep for YMGCR who won 72 shots and 14 points to Corowa RSL 32 shots and 0 points.
Showing their opposition no Christmas cheer whatsoever were Karen Bianco (L), Jill Lamson (2), Chris Morrissy (3), and Kerry Kinnane (S) who won 30 shots to Corowa RSL 10 shots.
The B2s are now in third spot on the ladder with 70 points in hand.
Their first outing, after the break is an away fixture at Club Mulwala.

ClubMulwala Bowls Club
As the year draws to a close, Club Mulwala Bowls Club has been buzzing with excitement and camaraderie. Reflecting on the recent round of Saturday Pennant, Club Mulwala's A3 team hosted Beechworth, with the B2 team welcomed Howlong/Rutherglen, and the B1 team took on St. James away.
The atmosphere at the club was electric on Saturday night, with all teams triumphing in their matches. Encouraged by their success, the Coach celebrated by treating the team to a few bevies.
Both the Saturday A3 and the Tuesday A2 teams are in strong positions as they head into the final weeks of 2025, sitting comfortably at the top of their respective tables.

A3 - Club Mulwala 103 shots 16 points defeated Beechworth 58 shots 2 points (1st Place)

B1 - Club Mulwala 55 shots 12 points defeated St. James 53 shots 2 points (3rd Place)

Midweek Pennant
Midweek, the A2's hosted Kiewa, with A3 playing at Corowa RSL and B2 travelling to Howlong.

B2 - Club Mulwala 36 shots 0 points defeated by Howlong 81 shots 14 points (8th Place)
Congratulations to Sue Middleton who has been selected to represent Ovens and Murray in the region ladies' side. This recognition highlights her exceptional talent and hard work as a bowler.
Sue is not only an amazing competitor but also a wonderful person who brings positivity to everyone around her. We are proud of her achievements and excited to see her shine during this competition.
It's fantastic to witness young talents emerging in the teams, carrying on the legacy of their father and grandfather. A warm welcome is extended to Cameron and Nathan Lefevre, both of whom have seamlessly integrated into the club.
Additionally, we welcome Rob Tomlin and his partner Chloe, alongside Grant Wangman and partner Helen. This influx of new players has already made a significant impact on the club's spirit.
Our Barefoot Bowlers are having an unforgettable experience as we approach the final two events for 2025. It has been heartening to see so many locals and visitors from nearby towns coming to ClubMulwala to celebrate the end-of-season festivities.

Tungamah Bowls Club
Midweek Pennant December 16th
The last game for 2025 and a trip to Lavington. Lavington proved why they are undefeated and on the top of the ladder.
Tungamah were defeated 71 to 49 shots, with one Rink up so collected 2 points.
Not enough to keep the team in in third so they now slip to fourth.
They will now play Howlong at home on return, January 20.
2026 will provide a new start so hopefully the team can put a few wins together to stay in the four.
Tungamah Australia Day Triples Tournament
Held on the Sunday, January 25, this will also be the Christening of the club’s renovated bowling green,
The Triples Tournament and New Year Party to conclude.
Have you got your entry in as it is filling fast.
This party replaces the planned Christmas Break Up which was postponed for various reasons.
There some magnificent hampers to be raffled, music, fun for the family and all who attend.
