Kevin Young proved his consistency by taking out the Diggers’ Tribute when points were tallied after the October round.
Kev’ is known for his vigorous shot making style and outright enjoyment of the sport and is a worthy winner from runner up Michael Barclay, third placed Craig Jordan and Dave Arazuhalszic in fourth position. Congratulations to you all on a fine season.
Jason Bassett has turned back the years yet again to provide a scintillating performance in the final of the Club Challenge.
The format for this event differs from the Diggers’ Challenge in that qualifiers play a “double knockout” final, meaning every contestant has a double chance at taking the crown.
Jason took the chocolates over Brandon Lucas in the event finale without the need for his second chance, but the committee has knocked back his appeal for it to be carried over to the 2026 competition.
Congratulations to both Jason and Brandon on excellent performances in both the year-long qualifying stages and the ultimate play off.
The final round of the Diggers Tribute event was taken by Craig Jordan over Ashley Nicholls.
2025 Club Challenge Champion Jason Bassett.
Craig has worked his way back into top form as this victory came hot on the heels of his team’s win in the Spring Triples.
Ashley has been busy with work and other commitments, so his performance was also very impressive.
Dave Arazuhaldzic won the social event played on October 15 with a victory over Ian Irvine, whilst Wayne Rogers displayed a return to form with a good win over Kevin Young on October 22.
Social competitions on Wednesday evenings will continue over the summer break and any prospective players are very welcome to participate.
