With the Ressie’s reviewer sent to steady the seniors sinking ship the scribe can only go on what they have been told.
“Jezza Kelly played the omitted skippers roll to an absolute T, with 32 intercept marks.
“Allegedly Donald Trump has been in touch with the bloke to discuss how he has been paid to establish such an impenetrable wall” - Mathew Bourke.
“Hughes blistering speed off the half back flank” – T Hayes. Reckon this bloke might need to visit spec savers. Mick Hughes good? Absolutely. Quick? Questionable. But that’s the story that was told.
In a far more believable story “Matt Bourke demonstrated his best Dusty Martin impersonations, with the stiff arm fend off sitting a few swans down.
“Pretty rich for a bloke that tells me to handball it straight away” - N.Gamble (fill in skip).
“The hybrid athlete had it on a string, his skills where absolutely elite, with a Max Gawn resemblance in his tap work but rapidly swinging to more or a Patrick Cripps-esque style when the ball hit the ground” - The hybrid athlete.
Hendos premature issues appear to have reared their head again, as Tom Coffey, eyewitness recalls.
“The big fella (Henderson) has let one fly off the right boot, then turned to give the Katunga coaching box a bit of an ear massage as part of his celebration.
Then turned around to watch the goal umpire signal to hop down off that high horse mate, with the one finger salute (behind gesture)” in defence of the big fella players did state it looked good of the boot though” -D.Ellis, and “stiff” J.Henderson.
“Gambie was back to his best taking on the big blokes in his preferred David vs Goliath battles. The bloke loves trying to move more kilos than a Colombian cartel” - H. Thomson.
