Four points is four points, a win is a win, whether you like it or not, they’re hard truths.
In what was a moist ground to play footy on all day and following the Lonergan masterclass prior to the senior game, Tungamah got the job done against a tough Blighty side.
Sacred Heart School Monday morning might’ve burnt to the ground when Jayden Arnold walked into to class at 8:59am.
On the scorecard he kicked nine goals so his swagger is at an all-time high, although, he didn’t even step into the forward 50.
A good old fashion typo has blown Jaydens head up in what should be Ned McKeown who actually kicked the nine goals, Jaydo needs a proper reality check due to his carry on after the game.
After missing 107 goals in a row at Tungamah’s home ground, his streak has come to an end.
Flynn Fletcher kicked two majors and had a field day in the middle. There are rumours he’s still celebrating at the job site currently.
Reports also come to the Chronicle’s desk Sunday morning that he was telling newborn babies at Tungamah a step by step process of how he kicked his goals (there is video evidence, Tom Lidgerwood is happy to share if anyone needs).
Sam Ferguson showed his strong form again on Saturday and continues to show everyone around the club his on and off field work ethic go hand in hand.
The Lonergan Day continued in the seniors as young Lenny kicked five and attempted half a dozen mark of the year attempts, took a couple of them and is now the favourite son, overtaking Henry just at the finish.
Old fellas had a vacation day from Woods Point as “The Smother King” Drew Haebich continued his hot form.
Glenn Dominick also stood up brilliantly when legendary ruckman Al Reilly had a blown ankle, thoughts and prayers to Amy for the next couple of weeks.
Best part of the day was the four first gamers who included the smother kings son, Pacey Haebich who kicked a glorious goal which saw Drew’s eyes turn into Niagara Falls and Josh Jones who thoroughly deserved this spot after a fantastic last year of footy in the seconds.
Two thirds players also played their first games, Kade Michael who’ll be a very strong and reliable player off the backline in the future for the seniors and young Billy Doyle, son of a gun they call him, or brother to desi, either way all four of these blokes played very well.
Next week the Bears face Jye Holcombe’s nightmares, as Jerilderie comes to Tungamah. Thoughts will mainly be on the after-game performances due to a reverse raffle on, but firstly the senior Bears search for another much needed win.

With five Lonergan’s taking the field it was too much for the coaches to handle, as one was a no show, and the other one hand-balled the job, opting to play instead.
With a power of players out and a handful of Lonergan’s in, the lunch time legend’s spine seemed to be suffering some severe scoliosis (Credit Flynn Fletcher).
Orbit’s only handball for the day came in the pregame joke, he quickly resorted back to his “me first” game style booting a handful.
Macca Lonergan worked hard to keep the family name relevant, while Chris roamed the forward line, finishing with five majors.
Whilst Henry might not be the most talented footballer in the family, he definitely isn’t the best drinker.
The once Rolls Royce - O'Kane - now operating more like a Datsun 180b with a few bald tyres and a slow leak in one, left no one misunderstanding that no matter the occasion, the O'Kane show comes first. Kicking 6.
It was great to be able to facilitate the five Lonergan’s getting to play a game together and great fun to be a part of.
Another great opponent this week with the Blighty boys keeping the fun of the game nearly as inflated as orbits ego.
Goals: M. O'Kane 6, C. Lonergan 5, M. Lonergan 5, M. Lonergan 3, T. Hayes 2, H. Lonergan 2, M. Adkins 2, D. Thomas, N. Gamble, B. Beaton, L. Ryans, J. Connell, J. McQualter Whyte, L. Lonergan

It was a late start for the boys against Blighty at home, but they couldn’t have asked for better conditions—the sun was shining after a welcome drop of rain the day before.
The young Bears continue to impress, starting with a tightly contested first quarter as Blighty applied good pressure.
However, once the Bears boys found their rhythm, they became hard to stop.
The bottom-age players were particularly on fire in the third quarter, snapping goals left, right and centre while displaying brilliant unselfish football by sharing the ball effectively.
As the club look ahead, tougher games are on the horizon that will challenge the boys. It's crucial to keep putting in the hard work at training and to continue pushing themselves.
Great job, young Bears.

Defence was on fire this week with Bridie and Jorja holding down the fort like absolute machines.
Jorja even managed to take a dramatic on court seat mid-game -looking like she was settling into a comfy couch at home.
In the midcourt, Jade and Dim were steamrolling through like a duo on a mission. Jade was hyping Dim up so much you’d think she was trying to avoid playing centre and honestly, respect the strategy.
Rahni and Issy were a force at WD, swooping on loose balls like magpies in spring. Quick hands, sharp eyes—no pass went unpunished.
Up in goals, Remi, Illa, and Chloe had an absolute field day. The trio worked the ring with style, swagger, and precision—shooting Tungamah into the 40s for the first time this season.
The scoreboard operator needed a break after that one. A huge thanks to Blighty for allowing such a fun and spirited game—it made the wins, the laughs, and the sideline moments even better.
Awards: Jaycee's – Rahni, Miss Dolly – Bridie and Players Player – Illa.

With the rain the night before cancelling Friday nights, club members didn't know what to expect in the morning, however they were hoping it wasn't rain.
Luckily, the weather was amazing to play some netball in, the girls had shown up excited to play and in a good mood.
They all smiled and encouraged each other on the court, slowly becoming louder as the weeks go on.
They applied pressure well in all areas of the court, with many contests occurring at both ends.
