An excellent team game by the Bears this weekend. Every player implemented changes that had been worked on at training and this was clearly reflected in the ball movement down the court.

Tungamah 48 defeated Jerilderie 26.
It was an awesome win by the B Grade girls to get those 4-points. The defensive pressure has improved immensely after taking everything worked on at training to apply it into the game.
The ball flowed seamlessly down the court and into the ring, with the shooters working hard to put them up.
There was a lot of positive energy from the game with the girls’ showing lots of talk and backing each other up the whole way down the court.
Well done to Jorja, players player, for her strong 4 quarter effort in GK, playing on an opponent much taller than her but still managed to get many turnovers.

It was another great win for C Grade this week as the girls each played their part and worked hard to keep the pressure down the court.
The defenders made sure to get the rebounds and created some great turnovers which were brought down the court beautifully by the midcourt.
The shooters moved well in the ring to create space and increase opportunity. Thank you to Danielle, Cait and Jess for stepping up this week to help out.

A very chilly start, with some cold fingers leading to some wild throws and some missed passes in the first quarter.
Despite this, the team played some sound netball throughout. Defensively Tungamah were particularly strong throughout this game and as a result were able to turn over the ball on a number of occasions with Billie-Jo, Emily and Chaye working well together to set up the game from their great defence.
Grace in centre fed the ball to Kiera and sent it down to Chloe and Asha. A quick change saw some cold girls come on, with Claire and Molly stepping on court.
The second and third quarter was very strong with many intercepts from the defence to set up the attackers.
Sienna was brought on for a run in the third showing her quick moves. The last quarter saw the girls become tied and the opposition started to claw their way back, luckily with Jenny’s directions they calmed and regrouped to win by 7 goals.
Some work on driving and core strength development will be worked on in the next few weeks. Well done girls.
Awards: Tungamah General Store - Chloe Lawless, Crusty Loaf - Chaye Saunders.

The girls did a fantastic job, really applying lots of pressure down the court with big 3 feet and hands over the ball.
Winnie showed how much she is improving each week by taking numerous intercepts at WD and helping bring the ball down the court.
Eliza P was a standout in goals, providing lots of forward leads and great shooting. Georgie chased down all those loose balls and read the play well, getting a lot of deflections and intercepts.
Captain Ivy was an important target in goals, rebounding strongly and encouraging her teammates. Well done girls.
