The result was a close win (with the best overall percentage) for the sister duo, Coral Day and Dawn Breadon, the first time they have won this event.
Kay Smith and George Wagner were runners-up (and narrowly won the North-South side from Bill and Geoff).
At the halfway break, competitors were spoiled with a delicious array of tasty treats and a big thank you to Kay for preparing this afternoon tea.
Last week’s results saw Kay and partners continue their stellar run of success with two wins.
Jenny and partners also had an excellent week with two second placings.
It was also great to welcome 11 people to the bridge lessons which started on January 31.
We hope they all enjoy the challenges of learning and playing bridge.
This week, several of the members have travelled to Bowral (NSW) to attend a Bridge tutorial and competition week organised by Greg and Gaye from the Finesse Bridge Club in Sydney — we wish them an enjoyable (and successful) week in this picturesque region of the Southern Highlands.
Please contact Max if you are wanting a partner for either Monday or Wednesday.
