The game was well placed with the Rhinos resuming the day at 5/74.
Andrew Hogan and Nick Fogo were the not out batsmen.
The pair added 11 runs before the Berrigan captain, Jacob Bartlett, bowled Fogo.
The ball only just clipped the off stump bail but hard enough to bring about his dismissal.
Fogo looked good and only played the one false shot.
Hogan looked dangerous moving along to 35, but was a little unlucky when Brady Bartlett held a great catch at short cover.
The Berrigan boys celebrated hard knowing that this was the key wicket.
The Rhinos were now 7/88.
Lochie Holloway and Shaun Arora also looked solid before Rory Bartlett struck again.
Arora was bowled for three, and Rory was bowling fast and full.
Jake Herberte tried hard to defend and provide support for Holloway, but ultimately succumbed to the accuracy of Rory.
After a well deserved five wicket haul, the Rhinos were 9/96.
Holloway went on the attack with a pair of boundaries.
The lofted four over mid-off was the pick of them.
Matt Ross finished the Rhinos’ innings bowling Hamish Baker (0).
It was a great piece of bowling which saw the in-swinging yorker hit Baker on the front foot before cannoning into the wickets.
The Rhinos were bowled for 105.
Interestingly, the thoughts were that Berrigan would push for an outright win and enhance their chances of playing finals in their return to A-grade cricket.
Sent back out to field, Hogan continued his good form with the ball dismissing the dangerous Tristan Mears second ball of the innings.
The catch by Anthony Bradley at slip was spectacular to say the least.
Holloway held a running backwards catch at point, with Andrew Parr out for nine and Berrigan at 2/28.
Any thoughts of pushing for an outright win were gone as Berrigan appeared to be content with batting practice.
Hogan had his second wicket eight for the game.
Jake Herberte was bowling tight and was rewarded with the wicket of Bradley Loats (14). It was a sharp chance caught by Hamish Baker at point.
Boddie Arthur’s off-breaks had Darcy Pyle (10) caught at deep mid-on by Fogo.
Fogo covered plenty of ground and never looked like dropping the catch.
Baker had his first wicket for the innings with Ross (18), caught at deep mid-on by Harry Hillier.
Arthur picked up his second wicket with Graeme Parr caught for seven.
Baker made things interesting dismissing Jordan Swann for four, and then Hillier was in the game with his second catch.
Berrigan were 7/69.
Arora was given his chance with the ball and bowled great areas. He held a firm return catch to dismiss Jacob Bartlett (18).
Dean Herberte was given the ball and ended the innings of Lochie Conboy (16). It was Dean’s first wicket for the season.
Arora ended the Berrigan innings bowling Brady Bartlett (1).
Berrigan were all out in their second innings for 118 in 43 overs.
The Rhinos elected to get some batting practice of their own in, needing 140 runs off only 17 overs.
The Rhinos finished the day at 5/57.
Harry Hillier continued his great form with 19, but Peter Wilson was the standout with 21 including two boundaries.
