The Yarrawonga Football Netball Club held their night of nights last Thursday, with the season celebrated and individual performances and volunteers recognised.
After relocating from the Corowa Rutherglen Football Netball Club when the club went into recess in 2023, Cam has been a pivotal player for the Pigeons.
In his first season at the club, Wilson claimed the Runner Up Best and Fairest in a premiership year while in 2025, Nick Irvine also claimed several awards, winning the Chronicle award and runner up best and fairest.

A special surprise on the Thursday night was also the awarding of Life Membership to Nick Dykes.
“Dykesy” bleeds blue and white. He has been a staunch player, tireless volunteer, and unwavering supporter of the club for as long as he can remember.
From pulling on the jumper to rolling up his sleeves behind the scenes, Nick has always gone above and beyond for the Pigeons.
Life Membership is the ultimate honour the club can bestow, and there is no one more deserving.
Some different but equally as richly deserved news was the sharing of the new netball court proudly carrying the name ‘Bridget Cassar Court’, sitting side by side with the ‘Robert Tait Court’ named after her father.

What a legacy for one family, and what a moment for the club.
Bridget is, without question, the most successful netballer to ever pull on the Pigeons dress.
With over 350 club games, 10 A grade premierships, and a list of accolades too long to fit on one page, Bridget has not only been a champion on the court but also a leader, mentor, and inspiration to generations of Pigeons.
To see both Bridget and Bert’s names standing together is a true reflection of family, commitment, and excellence.
The Cassar/Tait legacy is now cemented in YFNC history forever.
