More than 700 students from a variety of primary schools across Campaspe Shire converged on Echuca South Recreation Reserve netball courts for a day of fun and plenty of netball.

Volunteers from Echuca District Netball Association, along with secondary school students, helped out with scoring, officiating and draws for the competition.
A host of Grade 5 and 6 students from schools such as St Mary’s Primary School, Twin Rivers Primary School, Echuca Primary School, Kyabram P-12 College, Moama Grammar, Lockington Consolidated School, St Patrick’s Primary School Tongala and Tongala Primary School competed at the event.

For the Grade 6 champ girls’ division, St Mary’s defeated Echuca Primary School in a close final, while the Grade 6 mixed champs saw Kyabram P-12 College trump St Mary’s.
Both of the winners from those grades will represent the Campaspe Division at regional finals in Swan Hill on Tuesday, August 19.

The rest of the mixed Grade 6 results saw Lockington Heat win in section one, Tongala Green in section two and Tongala White in section three.
There were five mixed sections for the Grade 5 competition with St Mary’s 10 coming out on top in section one, Echuca 208 Blue in section two, Moama Grammar 1 in section three, St Mary’s 7 in section four and Echuca 208 Orange in section five.
