Junior Best and Fairest Count

The Rennie junior Best and Fairest count was held last week, celebrating a fantastic season from the young Rennie Hoppers.
Both the football and netball teams enjoyed strong seasons, with plenty of talented young Hoppers recognised for their efforts, commitment and contribution throughout the year.
It was a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the juniors and acknowledge the hard work they put in both on and off the field throughout the season.

Under 17s Picola and District League Grand Final
Rennie 37 lost to Deni Rovers 53
The stage was set for the biggest game of the year, with the U17 Hoppers taking on powerhouse Deni Rovers in the Grand Final. Deni had dominated the competition all season, but the Hoppers were ready for one final fight.
Demi and Ella worked hard in goals, while Charlotte, Mia, Jasi and Ruby battled through the midcourt to create opportunities in attack. Down the other end, Liv, Jazzy and Tess stood strong in defence, creating turnovers against a polished Deni attack.
The Hoppers produced their best netball in the third quarter, lifting their intensity and taking the quarter from the ladder leaders, showing the fight and determination this group had carried all season. Unfortunately, Samantha and Lily were forced to watch from the sidelines due to knee injuries, but that did not stop them from being some of the loudest supporters, cheering the girls on for the entire game.
In the end, Deni proved why they had been the benchmark, taking out the premiership 53–37. Congratulations to Deni on an outstanding season. To the Hoppers girls, what a season, what a fight, and what a way to finish their junior netball journey.
A huge thank you also goes to Mathoura for doing an amazing job hosting the Grand Final and creating a fantastic day for everyone involved.
