Mulwala 50 defeated Echuca United 35
It was so nice for our girls to get a win on Saturday. Consistency all day got the results. We do have to acknowledge our defenders - body on the line all day. Jedda, Tess and Sophia so strong through the midcourt. We are on the countdown for our new courts. Hopefully our sexy highlighters will get a rest. Fired up for next week’s game.

Mulwala 41 defeated Echuca United 40
Coming out strong B Grade created a comfortable lead in the first quarter. Echuca retaliated and created a very close game for the second half. The defensive end had an amazing game, contributing heavily to the win. The girls fought hard to end with an intense finish, successfully breaking the tie and winning by one goal.
Georgia Glass had a great game and came back firing each quarter. Shani Dickins put incredible pressure on all of her opponents, forcing many intercepts. Cara Wood played an amazing game, her pressure and hard work on the court showed incredible control of the defensive end.

Mulwala 37 lost to Echuca United 38
Coming off a strong win last week the girls were keen to continue their form. A good start had the girls up at the first break - the defensive leadership of Nat had the girls working hard to capitalise on turnovers. Charlie Hargreaves had another stellar outing, picking off passes and applying plenty of pressure to make sure the opposition worked hard for each goal.
Going into the third quarter the girls lost a bit of momentum giving Echuca the chance to take the lead. Toota McGavin was consistent as always, providing smart feeds and using her positive talk on court to keep the girls pushing.
Going three goals down into the final quarter the girls kept pushing with Kat and Laura working the ring to get the game back to even scores - going goal for goal in the final minute to go down by one. Plenty of positives to take away and plenty to continue working on at training.
Awards: Yarrawonga Hotel - Charlie Hargreaves; Club Award - Toota; Jaycees - Laura Nunn.

Mulwala 23 lost to Echuca United 48
Great effort from all the girls this week. Although not coming away with the win there was some positive signs. There is improvement in driving towards the ball and our defensive pressure is getting stronger. Keep up the great work girls
Another great game by the girls. There was great defensive pressure across the court which allowed the girls to get many turnovers, which the girls capitalised on. Well done girls!
Under 13s had a thrilling match against Echuca on Saturday. The game was neck and neck until the final quarter where we managed to pull ahead and secure a hard-fought win. Our defence was a standout, with some incredible intercepts that turned the tide of the game in our favour. In the final quarter, our team's determination and teamwork paid off, as we scored several crucial goals to take the lead and ultimately win the game.
A great game played by the Under 11s. The girls are really starting to find their groove on the court and play well as a team. Echuca was a very strong side but the girls didn't drop their head or give up. Awards going to Sadie Burgess with the Headband award, playing great in the midcourt, Maizie Thomas with the Zambrero award with her great efforts and never giving up and Koda Parker with the canteen voucher playing a very strong defence roll on the court.
