Opening day on Sunday was hot and included a barbecue lunch.
The first round of the Challen Cup was also played on Sunday with Peter Whittakers taking out the opening points.
Alan Higgins and current champion Marg Telford brought up the minor placings.
A cooler morning on Wednesday had 13 contestants.
Mary James was the lone three game winner on the day.
There were a number of two game achievers including new player Rex Kenrich, Marg Telford, Andy Davis, Alan Higgins, Graeme Bradford, Brad Fawns, and Meyerene Geldenhuys.
The lone jump shot was scored by Brad Fawns.
The Deniliquin Croquet club looks forward to a busy year ahead. There are two tournaments planned.
Deniliquin will host the GVCA singles tournament on May 18 and 19, and the club will run its own Long Paddock Tournament in August.

The club is hosting a social day with Rich River Croquet Club in late March, and 14 touring club members from Hyde Park Croquet club in South Australia will visit on March 21.
The Club Singles Championship will be held on March 10, winners will progress to the regional championships from April 7-10 and then finals in Cairnlea from April 19-21.
The Challen Cup has been increased from six to 10 rounds this year, and will be played on the second Sunday of the month.
The courts are in excellent order and the club welcomes new players to the game of croquet.
