YMGCR Mens 9 Holers
With no competition on Tuesday, it was blue sunny skies above as we saw a fine turnout of 78 players on the blue course on Thursday.
John Gonera continued his winning form from the previous week by again winning the A grade with a fine 21 points.
His drug sample has been sent away by Nurse Ratchet for testing for steroids and performance enhancing additives, but they think it is the red wine that has aided his golf.
Runner up in A grade was Steve Ambrose on 20 points, who once again fell to his Nemesis the Par 5 7th by wiping on it again (again), after scorching through the previous six holes.
The B Grade was won by Allan Foord who played some sensational golf, coming in with an excellent 22 winning on countback from Warwick “Salty” Sellars, who found himself cursing the two 12 inch putts he missed on the 5th and 9th holes.
The nine holers shall be continuing with the format of a two per group Stableford until further notice or when restrictions ease - booked online or by contacting Evan at the Pro Shop.
The LAST time slot in the competition will be at 1.30pm - to facilitate harvesting of results. Thank you in advance.
It is with much sadness that we say goodbye to Roy Juster, who passed away the previous weekend. He was a true gentleman and much fun to golf with and we will miss him and his banter around the club.
