The teenager has performed a host of roles for the Mapgies this year, demonstrating her skills in the centre, goal attack, goal shooter and wing attack positions in the 15-and-under, 17-and-under, B-grade and A-grade divisions.
Incredibly, the prodigy has netted 285 goals across 112 periods on court this year alone across the various age grades to announce herself as one of the region’s standout talents.
Having emerged at senior level under the tutelage of coach Ellie Warnock, she made her debut on the big stage against Mansfield, playing three periods in the wing attack berth during a landmark day in her burgeoning career.
Astonishingly, her maiden outing for the A Grade came just three days following her 15th birthday.
Since that milestone moment in July, she has made two more appearances for the Magpies’ flagship side - playing three quarters in the 63-41 victory over Rochester on August 15 en route to her side finishing at the top of the home-and-away standings.
However, the highlight of her recent run in the senior team surely came as she featured in the qualifying final victory over Mooroopna on August 30.
The Magpies emerged as winners against the Cats, closing out a 43-40 triumph to earn a place in the semi-final against Echuca.
Burton emerged from the sidelines in the 46th minute, featuring at centre as she helped her team to see out the win during what was a thrilling encounter for the neutrals down at the Memorial Oval.
Having already played at the 2025 Association Championships with the GVL representative team, while receiving call-ups for the 2026 Goulburn Region Team and the North East Talent Academy, the future looks bright for Burton.
