Jerilderie 39 defeated by Rennie 46
The game started strong with the attack end needing to hold strong and take a few bumps. With the score at quarter time being 12 a piece.
It was the day for centre player stand outs with Sophia Shaw playing a stella game. A welcome addition of Brylee McCarty into WA made it flow nicely for the shooters.
Defensively the pressure from Brooke McDougall, Brooke Knight and Hannah Shoppee gave the Hopper side many opportunities throughout the match.
Ella Rhodes was once again solid in GA.
After half time Rennie lead by a few goals, and although the last quarter saw Jerilderie peg back the margin, it was a great game to walk away with the win and building some momentum heading into the next rounds.

Fantastic defensive pressure down the whole court on Saturday making the choice of best on very difficult. All the girls are gelling well together and are improving every week.
Fantastic defence by the not super tall defenders playing as hard as they could on a very tall lady.
Well done by the Rennie midcourters and goalies for taking advantage of every opportunity and turnover made.

This week the girls were faced with some challenges and rose to the occasion. Every girl on the court had each other’s backs and were a great support both on and off the court.
With a very flat start to the game the girls needed to find some energy and confidence this week.
The defence was impeccable with Heleena, Lucy, Laynee, Vi, Iris and Mia all reading the play exceptionally and working hard to get multiple intercepts.
Matched with the attacking end with Sophie, Alani, Steph and Darla all playing their part with accuracy in the ring and excellent passes to each other, it was another great win.

A great game played by the girls this week. They worked amazingly together and encouraged one another throughout the whole game.
The defenders were on top of the ball 100%, intercepting many balls, resulting in a turnover.
The mid court focused on spreading out and moving to the space, as well as watching the ball at all times, which they did very well.
The shooters once again shot amazingly and worked around the ring beautifully. great game girls!
