Rennie 43 def Deni Rovers 31
Grand Final Fever is upon the club after this weekend’s prelim final against Deni.
Coming into this game, nerves and emotions were high after the Hoppers loss for the season being against Deni.
The 17s knew they had trained for this game and what it meant to the 17s as a team to come through, and the girls did not disappoint.
The defensive pressure from the first whistle through to the last was a game changer for the girls and forced Deni to make errors that the Hoppers were able to execute on.
This game saw Georgia Phillips and Scarlett York dominate the court with their intercepts, drive for the ball and communication with Centre player Sophia Shaw.
The goalers and captains, Ella Rhodes and Sophie O'Dwyer worked tirelessly in the ring with multiple combinations of play, not allowing Deni to adjust.
Mixed with intense pressure by the defenders Abbey Coghill and Jemma Adkins, Deni struggled to score and settle into the ring as they had previously done.
All of the girls couldn't have played the unmatchable game if it wasn't for Grace Stephens, Mia Doherty and Zoe McKenzie supporting their team and showing the greatest of sportsmanship on the sidelines.
A team is made up of all the players, not just those who take the court- you are all commended for your poise and gracefulness.
Next week, the Hopper Under 17s come up against another tough side who has fought hard for their place in the GF, but they aren't ready and willing to walk away or let them have it.
This season has always been one the Hoppers wanted to make theirs, and the 17s get one more chance to prove why they deserve it! Let's go Rennie girls.

Rennie 44 def Berrigan 24
Berrigan came to play this week and boy did it take Rennie a few minutes to realise this was not going to be an easy game. The score may not reflect it, but these Berrigan girls made the Hopper girls work hard for this win.
Once Rennie got their groove back the girls showed everyone why they deserve to be in the grand final. Heleena and Lucy were the perfect defence duo with the support of Iris, Darla, Abbey and Steph who rotated through WD.
Centre Laynee Rhodes controlled the game with her speed and voice on the court. The attacking end consisting of Violett, Alani, Sophie and Mia were again as strong as ever and never gave up.
They worked in their resets giving the Hopper shooters time to re-adjust and be in the perfect position for shooting goals.
A great effort by all and the Under 15s cannot wait to see these girls take on Katunga in the grand final next week. Let's do this.

Rennie 22 def by Katandra 23
Such an incredible game played by the Rennie girls. The Under 13s knew finals were going to be a lot of pressure and they’d have to prepare for anything. The girls went in with a fighting attitude and a want and aggression towards the ball, making the game against Katandra a goal for goal type of game.
Rennie shooters Mabel Cope and Demi Rhodes worked as hard as they could together in the ring, moving beautifully and gracefully. The mid court girls Sienna Clarkson, Kate Gibblett and Mia Brogan consistently stuck in front and lead forward, and defenders Tess Bassett, Charlotte Burrows, Jasi Lewis, Sammi Knight and Jamima Bruce fought so hard for the ball and to have hands over every ball. A beautiful game girls, you should all be incredibly proud with how hard you’ve all worked this season.
