The Senior Hoppers were well defeated by a team who ran the ball in numbers, had a spare at the edge of contests, and two forwards who were able to execute in-front of the sticks.
Tim Dykes played his 100th Senior match for the Hoppers, and the highlight of the first term was his goal from inside the square.
Senior players Wolfe and Wilson led the way early with as Rennie had hit the front by the end of the first break.
From there, Berrigan turned on the afterburners.
Despite this, Danielson showed all day his ability to step up from the Reserves.
Well done to Nish and Ferguson for doubling up and to Joe Ferg who snagged a great, early goal.

The Hoppers finals hopes were dashed with the second team Berrigan defeating them by 60 points.
Despite the final siren scoreline, it was a great effort from the never give up Under 14 Hoppers.
Harry Giblett at back flank, again showed his brilliance being impassable.
Finley Strawhorn and Alex Hemphill worked overtime in the backline.
Adam Cooper at centre half back was strong and held position while Lenny Legudi and Ed Withers took their chances up forward.
Jasper Rhodes was the other highlight as he created opportunities up forward. Congratulations to Jordan Swan of Berrigan for kicking his 100 th goal of the season. Technically the Under 14 Hoppers are still a chance to make finals but the permutations include needing other teams to draw next week.

A beautiful sunny morning for the game between the little Hoppers and Saints at Hopperland.
The message to the team was to attach the footy, keep the ball moving forward, look after each other and have fun which they certainly did.
It was an exciting day for a number of players ticking off some areas of their game and great work to the established and older players for supporting them.
Also well done to the Hopper kids who pulled on a Saints jumper, showing great sportsmanship to give the Saints a hand so a fair and competitive match could be had.

Under 17s
Rennie 37 def by Berrigan 40
What an absolute showdown between Rennie and Berrigan last weekend.
The Rennie girls focused on team-connection and how it can play a pivotal role in the outcome of a game.
This was showcased through an abundance of resilience from every single player on the team.
At times throughout the game, the contest was heating up and the score was kept tight. With many rotations compared to Berrigan's few, the Under 17s versatility meant they had to settle into each quarter and figure out what works.
This type of game is exactly what the side had hoped for in the lead up to finals.

They brought the ball down the court beautifully and took all their training sessions from the year and put it all into this game.
Sienna and Dakota made front cuts every time to receive passes in front of their players. Cydee, Chels and Maisie moved beautifully in the ring with great accuracy as well.
Mid-courters Michelle, Carla and Ruby defended the ball with strong hands over each pass and all read the play beautifully and took multiple intercepts.
The defenders rounded out the day as Kate and Lily working together in the goal ring with the help from Sienna and Michelle, to stop Berrigans shooters from having shots at goal.
