Record men’s club champion Jay Ar Martin made it 14 titles last Sunday to become the 2024 Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort club champion, winning by eight shots from Troy Robinson.

Martin fired rounds of 71, 72, 72 and 76 for a total of three-over-par 291. Robinson was level with Martin after round one and just one shot away after two rounds.
But after consecutive par rounds, the eventual winner, off a -3 handicap, led by six strokes from Robinson, off -1, going into the final round, on the Lake Course, increasing the lead to eight strokes.
In third place was Mitch Davis, who off -1, had rounds of 78, 75, 73 and 78 for a total of 304.
Women’s champions for 2024, from left Anna Castles, B Grade, Kirri Davis A Grade, Irene Cocks C Grade and Carol Tytler D Grade.
Kirri Droop led from start to finish to claim back-to-back women’s club championship titles, with rounds of 84, 84 and 89.
The five-handicapper won by seven strokes, from a gallant Dot Brodie who recorded rounds of 93, 86 and 85 for a total of 264. Vicki Stals finished third with 269.
Anna Castles won B Grade with 285, Irene Cocks was best C Grader with 318 and Carol Tytler’s 331 won D Grade.
B Grade men was won by Kerry Parker with 344 and Ben Bonwick triumphed in B Grade with 363.
